Challenge:

What began in 2018 as a complex migration from Magento to Shopify Plus evolved into an eight-year strategic partnership. Initially, we rescued a fragmented headless architecture left behind by a previous agency, stabilizing the build and aligning it with Shopify’s core inventory, promotion, and customer account capabilities. Over time, the challenge shifted from basic stability to deep enterprise automation, integrating their ERP system to manage wholesale, custom returns, retail ordering, and appointment scheduling seamlessly.

Finally, in 2026, the objective evolved to eliminate the maintenance overhead of headless architecture entirely. We needed to transition Jenny Yoo to native Shopify Plus to empower their non-technical teams while engineering an instantaneous online Made-to-Order production workflow.

Our multi-year collaboration transformed Jenny Yoo’s ecommerce infrastructure into a highly automated, agile powerhouse. Migrating to native Shopify Plus in 2026 successfully unlocked the full power of the Shopify Theme Customizer, eliminating developer dependencies for daily merchandising and site management.

The deployment of the online Made-to-Order capability automated the generation of work orders and production setups, bypassing traditional, manual approval workflows so custom dresses can be processed immediately. Backed by Searchspring and a clean Shopify Taxonomy implementation, discovery is frictionless. Furthermore, we turned editorial content into direct revenue drivers by leveraging Shopify Metaobjects to inject interactive product sliders and featured products seamlessly across blogs, lookbooks, and real wedding features.

A fully customized appointment booking flow was designed to help brides easily schedule consultations, fittings, measurements, and gown pickups. Jenny Yoo’s custom event management experience gives brides a single destination to organize their bridal party, manage invitations, track dress selections, and monitor order status.
